Bug hunt

While hunting for software bugs remember this:

“99 little bugs in the code,
99 bugs in the code,
Fix one bug, compile it again,
101 little bugs in the code.
101 little bugs in the code,…. ”

> (Repeat until BUGS = 0)

Clicking NXT syndrome fixed

Pweehh… Just thought I bricked my LEGO NXT brick for a while there. I left it on and connected to USB. Went back to my PC after about 10 minutes, and the brick was turned off. When I turned it back on the screen was just blank, and the NXT brick went “click”, “click”, “click”, … about 3-4 times a second. Pulled out all cables, and the batteries. Left them out for a couple of minutes, tried reinserting the batteries and pushed the ON button: “click”, “click”, “click”, … Uh oh. The same happened when trying to hardware reset the unit. “Click”, “click”, “click”, … Now that’s one expensive paper-weight.

After googling in a temporary state of full and utter panic, so complete and dire that no amount of friendly letters stating “Don’t panic” would have ever helped out, I found a tip claiming that reinstalling the 1.03 firmware would undo the damage caused by unknown means.

And it sure did. The NXT woke back up right away. YES!

Så er det NU – kl. 23.59 går det løs! =D

Da-da-da-daaaa, da-da-daaaa, da-da-da-daaaa-da-da-daa-da-daaa. Da-da-da-daaaaa, da-da-daaaaa. Da-da-DAAAAAA-da, da-DAAAAA-da, da-daaaaaaa-da-da, daaaaaaaaaaa…
